A COVID-19 Update from the Don Shaffer Team

There’s been a lot of recent buzz about how COVID-19 will affect the housing market, and we wanted to take a moment to share an important update with you.

Did you know real estate has been deemed an “essential business” in the state of Ohio? Because of this, Don Shaffer and the Shaffer Team are open for business, and we’re always on hand to answer your questions.

What We’re Doing to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19

We realize this is a difficult time for everyone, and our goal is to keep all of our clients safe and healthy. Here are a few steps that we’re taking as an organization to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

What should buyers expect?

In accordance with CDC guidelines, we’re requiring all buyers to wear protective face masks, gloves, and shoe coverings for every showing. We also ask that you limit contact with any surfaces during a tour and leave children at home.

Although it is still possible to see listings in-person, our team has decided to suspend overlapping showings and open houses until further notice. For those not comfortable with physical tours or meetings, we are also offering video showings and virtual meetings through platforms like Zoom and FaceTime.

We’ve also made the closing process smoother by implementing the use of electronic contracts and documents. You won’t have to come into the office to sign any paperwork—everything can be completed on a phone, tablet, or computer!

What should sellers expect?

In addition to the strategies listed above, we are taking special steps to ensure that our sellers’ homes go under contract within three to four days. We are also personally paying to have your home professionally deep cleaned and sanitized before you move.

Of course, we’re still offering our in-home selling consultations…virtually! If you have any questions about the process, feel free to schedule a video meeting with a member of our team. We have what it takes to get your home sold during this unique and challenging time!

We’re Here to Help You

We hope these precautions put your mind at ease as you buy or sell your home. Our team is doing everything we can to assist our clients and ensure everyone’s safety. Ready to get started? Just give us a call at 614-402-0338!
